Retention, stated plainly: our event log is a ring buffer capped at 200 entries by count, not by time. A noisy hour can push a quiet week out of it. We hold 142, reaching back 8d. That is the entire history this page can honestly show you.

How this page is measured

What we check

Automated probes

A scheduled job probes 6 external dependencies every five minutes and records each passing result, and 13 scheduled jobs write a heartbeat when they complete. The board above reads those records. It never runs a probe on page load.

What we don't show

No uptime percentage

We store the last passing check per dependency, not a sample per interval. An uptime figure, or a row of daily green squares, needs a stored history we do not keep. We would rather show you a thin true page than a rich invented one.

What would change it

Durable samples

Publishing availability honestly needs every check retained over time, not just the most recent one. Until that exists, this page reports current state and recent events only, and says so.

“Unconfirmed” is a real state, not a rounding error. Our monitor records passing checks; it does not record a heartbeat saying “still fine” when a check never ran. So when a component has no recent passing check we mark it unconfirmed rather than green. It is the difference between “we measured it and it worked” and “we haven’t looked”, and a status page that blurs the two is not worth reading.

Whether a feature is usable is a product question, not a monitoring one, so this list is maintained by hand and is not part of the live board above. TrendSuite is pre-launch: the product is in private beta behind the waitlist.
